Ohio Blue Sandstone is a fine-grained sandstone from the Scioto Formation in Southern Ohio. It's tight grain structure and clean appearance distinguishes it from other fabricated sandstones. There are two colors of this stone: Buff (a yellowish brown) and Blue (a grayish blue). Ohio Sandstone is easily carved for custom detailing and keeps a crisp detail edge.
Ohio Blue Sandstone is often used for building detailing such as sills, lintels, quoins and coping. Columns and similar structural components are possible if the limitations of block size are factored in.
