
Description:
Butler Sandstone is a large grained stone with coloration
ranging from a light tan to brown, including some rust and
gray. Its unique color and composition gives it an aged,
weathered appearance. It is a very sound and durable stone
that holds fine detailing well.

Compressive Strength: 8,000 psi (ASTM C170)
Modulus of Rupture: 1,000 psi (ASTM C-99)
Absorption: 4.20%
Bulk Specific Gravity: 2.23
Density: 140 lbs/cubic ft.
Flexural Strength: 900 psi (ASTM C 880)

Applications:
Butler Sandstone can be fabricated into any architectural
feature, however there are some size limitations that may
affect length. It compliments Ohio GoldŽ. Veneer for window
surrounds, quoins and similar detailing.
